Jeff Grover - Club Director / 18's Assistant Coach -


Born and raised in Southern California, Jeff started playing volleyball at Granada Hills high school. In 1998, he began his coaching career at Gilbert high school coaching both girls and boys varsity.  Jeff was the assistant varsity girls coach for two state championship teams (2003 and 2006) and was the head coach for the boys varsity state championship team in 2012. He was twice named Arizona’s boy’s volleyball coach of the year in back to back years, 2012 and 2013. In 2009, Jeff founded Victory VBC in order to help his high school athletes get quality off-season reps. He is committed to training his high school players to compete at a state championship level every season and has helped many of his players continue playing at the collegiate level. He is also dedicated at building a strong foundation of younger players that have not yet entered high school. His Victory VBC 14-1’s teams have won the AZ Region 4 times (2014, 2015, 2016, 2018). In the summer of 2015 Jeff was named Highland men’s varsity coach where he continues the Hawk tradition of excellence. He earned a degree in Spanish and currently teaches upper level Spanish at Highland High. He has a passion for what he does and enjoys seeing coachable players perform at their best. Jeff is married to Maile and they have 5 children. In his spare time, when he is not teaching, coaching or directing Victory VBC, Jeff enjoys hanging out with his family on the beach.

Isaac Turley - 18's Head Coach -


Turley is a Highland High School volleyball alumnus. Earning 2nd team all-state honors his Senior year. This is his 4th season coaching for Victory VBC. Isaac earned his degree in Accounting at ASU's W.P Carey School of Business and is a licensed real estate agent. Getting in the gym and working with the boys is a highlight of the week. "Volleyball was a great means in my life to teach principles of hard work, competition, and teamwork. I enjoy paying that forward."

In his free time he loves to spend time with his wife, golf, bike, enjoy in the mountains (Forest Lakes) and attend ASU football games.

Demaree Carter - 17's Head Coach -


Demaree Brown Carter was born In Southern CA and raised in Mesa, AZ. Demaree was a three year varsity player at Highland High School. Throughout her Volleyball career she has played Middle, Outside and Opposite hitter being left handed. Opposite always being her favorite. Demaree played collegiate volleyball at Eastern Az College where she was “Student Athlete of the year” and Byu-Hawaii. 

She graduated in Business Finance & Entrepreneurship. She is married to Josh Carter who has always been her biggest fan. She has assisted in numerous volleyball clubs and camps across the country and has also refereed. When not playing some kind of sport she enjoys traveling out of the country soaking in different cultures and  educating people on their finances.
“I have had so many wonderful coaches and leaders throughout my life. Volleyball taught me to be strong and confident in life, and that is something I want to give back to the youth.”

Kimri Madrid - 17's Assistant Coach -


Kimri has been around volleyball since before she could walk. She played at Mesa High School and Eastern Arizona College where she was an All American setter. Kimri loves coaching volleyball, but especially boys club for Victory. When she isn't coaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband Alloie and son Makoa, and traveling as much as possible. Kimri is really excited for a new season at Victory and can't wait to see what this season brings!

Jordan Neal - 17's Assistant Coach -

Tait Neilson - 16's Head Coach -


Tait was a three-year starter at outside at Gilbert high school. During his time there he earned First-team all region junior and senior year, Second Team All-state junior year, MVP fiesta region senior year, and First-team all-state senior year. He has three years of club experience as a player including playing on two Nationals teams. His Coaching Experience includes 7 years of club experience as a boys head coach, and 6 years of club experience as a girls head coach.

Tait has coached for Fusion VC, City VC, East Valley Juniors and currently coaches for Victory VBC. Tait has coached every age group for Victory. He has won two AZ Region Championships with Victory VBC.

Tait has coached the Highland girls JV and freshman the past three years and the boys JV for three years now.

Tait's personal accomplishments include graduating from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Business, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree.

He is married to Sydnee Neilson and they have a daughter Camryn.

Justin Close - 14's Black Head Coach -


Coach Justin is originally from Las Vegas Nevada, his family moved to Arizona while he was serving a mission. 

During his playing career, he played Setter and Libero in high school and received rewards such all region 1st team and 2nd team all-state. 

He has been coaching both boys and girl’s volleyball here in Arizona since 2013 and he is entering his 6th club season with Victory coaching ages from 13-18. 

Justin is one of 4 boys and loves his family, he is currently in his last year of schooling and plans to graduate from ASU with a degree in History Education.

Craig Galeria - 14's Teal Head Coach -


Craig grew up in Southern California and attended Thousand Oaks High School. He began playing volleyball in middle school and continued throughout high school and club where he played setter. He has also played in several beach doubles tournaments including the Manhattan Beach Open. While a senior in high school, Craig began his first coaching experience by taking a 7th & 8th grade boys team to the regional championship. After high school, Craig attended and graduated with a Business degree from Brigham Young University in April 2018. Upon graduation, he took a job with Boeing in Mesa. Outside of volleyball, Craig loves spending time with his high school sweetheart and wife, Brooke, and embracing everything that the East Valley has to offer. Craig is excited to be involved with the Victory Volleyball brand and can't wait to start winning some games.  

Brett Barazoto - 14's Teal Assistant Coach -


Brett was born and raised in Gilbert, Arizona. He comes from a family of athletes. His dad played college football and most of his siblings played high school volleyball under Grover. Brett played club volleyball for Victory and Fear throughout high school. This is Brett’s first year coaching and is excited to learn the coaching ropes and expand his volleyball knowledge. He graduated from Gilbert High School in 2017 after leading the Tigers to the semifinals against Chandler. He was the Libero, so his focus is always on passing and high energy! Brett currently attends Chandler-Gilbert Community College studying Business Management. He plans to attend BYU next Fall.
