Jeff Grover - Club Director / 18's Assistant Coach - azvictoryvbc@gmail.com
Born and raised in Southern California, Jeff started playing volleyball at Granada Hills high school. In 1998, he began his coaching career at Gilbert high school coaching both girls and boys varsity. Jeff was the assistant varsity girls coach for two state championship teams (2003 and 2006) and was the head coach for the boys varsity state championship team in 2012. He was twice named Arizona’s boy’s volleyball coach of the year in back to back years, 2012 and 2013. In 2009, Jeff founded Victory VBC in order to help his high school athletes get quality off-season reps. He is committed to training his high school players to compete at a state championship level every season and has helped many of his players continue playing at the collegiate level. He is also dedicated at building a strong foundation of younger players that have not yet entered high school. His Victory VBC 14-1’s teams have won the AZ Region 5 times (2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2020) and the Victory 16's won Region in 2019 and took 1st place at Nationals in 2021. In the summer of 2015 Jeff was named Highland men’s varsity coach where he continues the Hawk tradition of excellence. He earned a degree in Spanish and currently teaches upper level Spanish at Highland High. He has a passion for what he does and enjoys seeing coachable players perform at their best. Jeff is married to Maile and they have 5 children. In his spare time, when he is not teaching, coaching or directing Victory VBC, Jeff enjoys hanging out with his family on the beach.
Byron Hurd - 18's Head Coach - brhurd23@hotmail.com
Born and raised in Gilbert Arizona, Byron graduated from Gilbert High School for 4 years under Coach Grover, from 2012-2015. He went on to play college volleyball at the University of Charleston in West Virginia as a Outside Hitter, Right Side, and even some libero. Graduated in 2019 with a BA in accounting, this is Byron’s 5th season coaching at Victory Volleyball Club. He does a wonderful job expecting the highest skill level from the boys but also bringing a relaxed environment to let the boys have fun. He enjoys hanging out with friends or traveling to play some beach volleyball tournaments in his free time.

Tait Neilson - Floating coach - tait.neilson@yahoo.com
Tait is currently the Girls Varsity Head Volleyball Coach for Highland High School, and the Assistant Varsity Coach for Boys Volleyball at Highland. He has coached boys and girls high school volleyball for 10 years. One year at Mountain View High School and 9 years at Highland High School. He has coached boys club volleyball for 13 years at Victory Boys Volleyball Club. He has also coached girls club volleyball for 5 years, both at East Valley Juniors and at Club One.
Tait has 3 Arizona region championships won as a head coach at Victory Volleyball Club. He has also won a National Club Championship with Victory Volleyball as an Assistant Coach.
In high school Tait was First-team all region junior and senior year, Second Team All-state junior year, MVP fiesta region senior year, and First-team all-state senior year in high school as a volleyball player.
Tait coaches because he loves volleyball and he wants the athletes that he coaches to love volleyball as well. He also coaches to make the athletes he works with better people and players.
When he is not coaching he is hanging out with his wife and two daughters, practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, playing guitar, playing basketball, camping, watching Arizona sports and working out.

Preston Johnson - 17's Assistant Coach
​
Preston grew up in Gilbert Arizona. He started his freshman year at victory as a setter. He played at Highland high as a setter/opposite and an outside hitter. His senior year (2021) was voted Region player of the year. After high school he played at Benedictine University where they won their conference and were runner up in the nation for NAIA. Preston coached for Victory now for 3 years and helps as an assistant for Highland’s varsity team 2022. He is also currently coaching the Highland freshman girls team. He enjoys woodworking, making rings and more.
